Detskii KinoMai Children's Charitable Foundation
The Detskii KinoMai Children's Charitable Foundation was established eight years ago as a public organization with the aim of popularizing the best films for children and youth, both old and loved by many generations of spectators, created by famous masters of children's films, and new ones shot in recent years.
The film events are accompanied by a diverse cultural and educational program, and many creative contests, meetings of cinematographers with spectators and workshops are held as its part. The geography of the film events held by the Detskii KinoMai Children's Charitable Foundation expands every year. For example, in 2016, the festivals were held in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Smolensk, Gagarin, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Gorno-Altaisk, Berlin. For the second time the creative delegation of the forum, which includes popular Russian theater and cinema actors, comes to Luxembourg.

Year of ecology in Russia
On the eve of the film forum, a traditional writing contest has been held among Russian-speaking children residing in Luxembourg. This year it is entitled Little Miracles in a Big City and dedicated to the problems of ecology. In their essays, children have shared their observations about the wonders of nature that imperceptibly accompany us in everyday life. The contest winners will be awarded with memorable prizes and gifts on the stage of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Luxembourg.
