Contribution of non-governmental organizations to the popularization of the Russian language in Europe
On September 27, Berlin hosted an international conference entitled The Contribution of Non-Governmental Organizations to the Popularization of the Russian Language in Europe. Kalinka's director Anna Radishevskaia spoke about what the Russian School in Luxembourg was doing to promote Russian language and culture in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. The participation of the Kalinka School in such a prestigious event became possible thanks to the financial support of its main sponsor, East-West United Bank.
During the conference, about 70 participants exchanged their teaching experience, shared their perspectives, identified problems, evaluated the position of the Russian language in Germany and neighboring countries — Belgium, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Poland. Anna Radishevskaia described the situation with the study of the Russian language in Luxembourg, spoke about the contribution of the Kalinka Russian School to this process, and outlined her vision of the future prospects.
