Essay on ecology

Lastochki A and B wrote an essay on ecology. They watched a video prepared for the year of ecology in Russia, and then were getting prepared for the Earth is Our Home Writing Contest conducted as part of the Children's film festival in Luxembourg.
The children discussed with the teacher the following topic: «What can I do now, as a school student, in order to live in harmony with nature?».
One of the discussion points was the question of the household waste sorting and recycling in the most appropriate manner. The teacher proposed a game that helped discover how to sort the waste properly. A team of boys and a team of girls were organized. Each team received a full bin bag and had to sort their glass, cans, plastic and paper recycling into separate packages. Then the kids suggested what products could be done from recycled content.
The teacher talked with the students about saving water, electricity and respect for nature. At the end of the lesson, the children wrote their essays.
