Eternal Themes Exhibition

The Eternal Themes Exhibition, which will be presented this year by the Art Gallery of Natalia Grigorieva (Moscow) at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Luxembourg, displays works by such artists as Natalia Grigorieva herself (painting, graphic arts), Valentina Kuznetsova (ceramic sculpture), Maria Fofanova, Elena Postnikova (sculpture), Marina Bakhratova and Olga Salimova (painting on silk).

This exhibition is part of the artistic and educational project Draw, Sculpt, Watch, Listen, Learn..., started by the Moscow gallery of Natalia Grigorieva in 2017.

The Draw, Sculpt, Watch, Listen, Learn... Project offers a large number of educational activities, which are regularly held at the gallery of Natalia Grigorieva in Moscow. They are frequented by children, as well as adults of all ages and elderly people.

The project includes painting, ceramics and painting on fabric master classes, art history courses, tours of Old Moscow, which are conducted by well-known art critics, music and poetry evenings.

At the beginning of this year, Luxembourgers took part in some events organized by the gallery of Natalia Grigorieva in Moscow!

The concept of the Eternal Themes Exhibition is «Primordial Russia». Countryside interiors of old cottages with brick fireplaces, terraces, a serenely sleeping cat and a dog lying next to the hostess are major themes for gallery's founder, Moscow artist Natalia Grigorieva. For sculptor Valentina Kuznetsova, these are gentle women with a slight touch of blush on their faces, fairy tale Sirins (half-women half-birds) and mermaids, angels. Maria Fofanova's works are completely different: she unveils Russia's holy foolishness, which evokes a smile, sympathy and a sense of intimacy with the characters. Finally, Elena Postnikova creates angels with completely detached and «inhuman» expressions on their faces, the proportions and color harmony of her abstract sculptures are surprising. Batik artists, Marina Bakhratova and Olga Salimova, deal with pure poetry and tenderness. Their images of Russia are gold domes and golden dawns.

As part of the project, graphics and painting workshops will be given by artist Natalia Grigorieva throughout the exhibition from 9 to 22 June.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on June 9 at 17.00 at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Luxembourg.
