Joint lesson on the 100th anniversary of WWI’s end

Teachers: Svetlana Kleshkova, Tatyana Govorova

On Saturday, November 17, senior groups of the Kalinka Russian School (Lastochki and Snegiri B) held a joint lesson to mark 100 years since the end of World War I, celebrated on November 11.

After watching a documentary, teacher Svetlana Kleshkova explained difficult terms and elaborated on the role in World War I of Europe's six major powers (the Triple Alliance and the Triple Entente), with special regard to the Russian Empire, as well as that of Luxembourg and Belgium. Kids learned many interesting facts, and at the end of the lesson they revised their knowledge by answering some questions.
